Hi Folks!. My new purchase is I think, a 1953 Waltham. It has 21 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions. I am still quite new to this hobby and I was wondering what anyone could tell me about it?. It doesn't have a micro adjusting device on the hairsping and I believe the dial is not porcelain?, it also has a acrylic crystal which I don't think is standard. The serial number is: 33,849,982. Thanks, Steve from the UK.
Hi Mark, definately 5 adjustments. I have been looking into this style of watch and it is becoming clear that horror of horrors, it could be Swiss movement ahhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!, I am just waiting for confirmation from someone on this site.....

This IS USA-made model 16A and "sort of" a "1621", but VERY near the "end of the road".
If this is S/N 33549982, it could be a 1950 un-recorded run of 16A 21 Jewel movements trailing the production of same as S/N 33535801-33537800. (Many errors were evident in the last Waltham production figures.)
The last run listed are 23 Jewel Vanguards S/N 33765838-33780900
