I am still searching for watch inspectors to add to my list & I ran across this ad in "The Atlanta Constitution" dated Sept. 1, 1901. The ad mentions a watch the Southern Railway Special. I looked in the price guide & it mentions a 21 jewel watch by this name.
I was wondering if anyone had one to share a photo of?

Tom I will keep my eyes out for one, in my past searches I have not seen one on ebay so I tend to think they are a bit hard to find, which is obvious from the lack of responses.

Sorry I forgot to put that info in Ted. I have never seen one but in the guide they are listed as 18s Illinois. I think they were a private label Bunn Special.

Tom, In Ehrhardt's Beginning to End book, it's listed as an 18S 21J 6th. model Bunn Sp'l. He gave a value at that time of 1000-1200 bucks!Must be a rarity....Ted.
