The variant dial 519 style with triangulated arrows out was used on some 992E's in 1936-1937-1938. regards, bb

Thanks Buster the 519 had 2 variants? 1 with triangular markers. And one with rectangular markers. I'm guessing this is a harder dial to find.

Almost sort of kinda........ Its styled in a likeness of the 519 with the main difference being triangular markers instead of rectangular markers. I call it a variant because it has some/most of the characteristics of the 519 dials. I don't think it would be correct to call a 519 dial with rectangular markers a variant. It is an unnamed dial and is an uncommon dial that is highly regarded and collected today. regards, bb

Actually Buster, I think it would be proper to call either version of the Dial 519 a variant, as both represent minor variations on the same basic design. You can tell my mom was an English teacher, right? My first-run 992E (movement #2582635) has the rectangular markers, what I would call the first variant. I'd call the later version with triangular markers the second variant. Best Regards, Ed
