I just saw a Wittnauer watch in a pawn shop the other day and was wondering if anyone is familiar with them.
I did open it up and saw it was marked Wittnauer only and 17 jewels, looked like the ordinary swiss type movement, not fancy, plain nickle(?)
Would this have been made prior to the joining of Longines, are they typically a decent grade of watch ? I had not seen a Wittnauer previously to this one.
