Collecting watches is a very diverse hobby. Some people only have a few very high end watches, others collect a specific size, model, or manufacturer or any number of combinations of the above. There are so many variations that I think its impossible to list them all. For a long time I struggled to define what I collect. I finally gave up and just went with I collect what I like. I also dont just collect but enjoy repairing and cleaning as it lets me take my mind off of the everyday problems around me. A few days ago I ran across a 12s 17j Waltham on ebay and won it for $30. I dont think its worth a ton of money. But it is a nice addition to my growing collection of 12s watches. I enjoyed cleaning it as much as owning it. A balance staff, a crystal, and a nicer painted dial I had on hand make all the difference. Its off my about 1 minute in 2 days, I can live with that. Sorry about my poor photo taking skills.

Oh my that's a pretty thing after you got done with it, Jim!
What I always think when I see these in the 'after' shots is, one day many years ago THAT watch was the pride and joy of someone, and here it is back in its glory again! They would smile.
NICELY done, my friend!
HIGH regards! Mark
