WHEN DID HAMILTON FIRST START USING DIALS WITH THREE FEET{SERIAL NUMBERS?}.I'M MOSTLY INTERESTED IN 992 MOVEMENT FOR A FERGUSON REPLACEMENT DIAL{I KNOW,I KNOW IT'S FAKE}BUT MIGHT USE A 972 OR 954{MIGHT BE CHEAPER?}.THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ON ANY FORUM,SO BE NICE!

Welcome to IHC185 Tim. We have a lot of collectors of Hamilton pocket watches, so you've come to the right place. All 18S Hamilton dials were 3-foot. Early Hamilton 16S dials were 4-foot and then shifted to 3-foot around the serial #872000 area. Here is a prior discussion topic that provides more detail. Best Regards, Ed
