Turns out all 3 SN's MATCH on my parts watch.

Now I would love to know if anyone can tell me about a Santa Fe Special SN 3992029

Any information about this one is great, I'm in the dark on this one, and I will post a current photo of the pieces together soon.

See parts here

Thank you,

Sheila

Your movement is a Model 9, Grade 806, open face, lever set, adjusted to 3 positions. It was made in 1922.
The Grade 806 was a fairly common movement, with 43,820 of them made between 1913 and 1926. It shouldm't be too difficult to pick up a parts movement.

I shall look in my stuff, the Balance cock and wheel set may be the most interesting to find. Also, that Bunn plate may be good "trading stock" to a "Bunner" who has stuff like this.

btw, what parts do you have? (i.e. cases, dials, other stuff . . . )

David,
The picture below is all that came with the watch. It's not much and I have no idea if they are any good, but they are really clean and look new to me.
I will need just about everything I think. I may have a case for it, but won't really be in the market for that until I have some of the parts, and I find out what cases I already have, it sure would be nice in a Santa Fe Special case huh?

I have no current plans for the Bunn part, but would certainly offer it here, before thinking of anywhere else.

Bad picture, but you can tell what they are.

Hold on to those, the "T" shaped part (pallet fork assembly) and the spikey (escape) wheel are very likely "married" to each other and to the watch plate. (Banking pin adjustments)
The little round thing (roller) with 2 little holes and the red jewel are both pure treasure.
The Jewel is re-usable, although I hope we get a balance wheel with top and bottom matching hole and cap jewels that only require us to adjust the deck height for freedom of balance wheel rotation.
We may need the roller if there is any trouble with the roller the balance wheel comes with.
A lot of the other parts are pretty standard, finding a Santa-Fe dial would be next on your list if we succeed with finding enough "donor watch parts.

David,
Great information! Thank you!

I can tell you that the pallet fork assembly, and the escape wheel, are like new, and even after checking them with my super power loupes, they still look wonderful. The jewel setting looks to be very clean, with no damage, but it does have groves where screws were used on it. The other parts are very clean and new looking too. The picture is terrible, but I need to replace my camera battery, and it's the best I can do for now.

I had thought of the dial first too, but I am going to a family reunion the 7th of October for a week, and all is off until I get back.

We're going to Myrtle Beach, and plan on just being MELLOW for an entire week. AAAAAHHHHH
Can't wait!

I'm going to post a request for some parts on the board, after getting over what this vacation is going to cost me. This year we have a few expensive things planned, and I intend to do some of them this year.

I think I would like to collect the parts for this watch, it would be a first for me, and looks like a fun. Now if I only knew what I was doing!!!

That's ok though, with you guys to help me, I can get there.

Thanks again,

Sheila

This is a Swap Meet special with a very good train, Gold Center (at least) wheel, and all parts working well, except the main is blown.
This is a Grade 605, meaning the parts will fit your plates, except this is a Pendant setting movement, so you will have to locate some lever set parts (I will look at more of my stuff tomorrow) for the top side, but on the other hand it is all there excepting the setting stuff.
I can send you the whole watch movement, for parts you need. The Balance Cock is Gold engraved and trimmed, and will probably look fine on your movement if you choose to leave the Jewels unmnolested for the balance wheel. I have $50.00 "invested", but the hands and dial stay here, so that leaves my investment at about $25 for the movement. If this is a donation watch that is not an issue either.

This s/n 2474564 production run was only 400 PC's from 2474201-600, so I guess it's a little "rare"? Roll Eyes

The Keystone s/n 386609 "nickeloid" case was used to sharpen an ice pickj(in the backside) but the Double sunk dial and hands will be a good "keeper for another project Illinois I am rebuilding.
If our Chap 185 "Casemaster" wants to try and fix this one, you can have that too as part of the deal.
