Stem for Lord Elgin "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I have an empty 12s Wadsworth case that I'm looking for a movement to put in. I'm having a hard time finding a nice movement that will fit a standard 12s case and not require a stem other than the one already installed in my case. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Would an Illinois grade 406 fit the bill?

Don,

If you punch 12s in the find or search section... narrow your search by adding "movement" or "case" or "fit"... you should find quite a few threads regarding the pairing of 12s movements and cases.

The 12s watches were far from standardized even within any given manufacturer, let alone across the industry.

As the industry chased consumer trends, they tweaked the dimensions of the watches to match the market.

I'm not sure if the search features are available to you without a membership in IHC185. But as most of us will attest, it is $12.00 well spent.

Welcome aboard,

Pault
