I recently bought a Waltham Home Watch Co. hunter, serial # 283695, 15j model 1857. The case is very attractive and plain with a reeded edge. It is marked G W L on the inside of the front and back covers. The case is well made and in nice shape and I wondered if anyone can tell me who made the case. It looks to be solid gold but is otherwise unmarked and I have not tested it. Deacon

Deacon I think G W L is George W. Ladd. Use the search function with 'Ladd' at our forum ! Regards, Gerald

Thanks Gerald. It reminds me of a dueber Railway 18s hunting case. Fine quality anyway. Deacon
