Has anyone noticed this type of dial on any Elgins.. The red 5 minute numbers are also the
5 minute marks... This is an 18 size 21 jewel model 149 ..

John,

An Elgin 21-Jewel Veritas, Serial Number 9495419 sold recently in our Chapter 185 Trading.

It has a similar dial. Check the image below,

John, The dial you have is cool. I havent noticed that the markers were gone and only the numbers were there at the 5 min markers. I have a grade 150 from 1894 with the same dial but it is the only one like it I have.

Interesting I hadn't noticed it before. Confused

Lin, the dial photo you posted is indeed different as it has the triangle pointers under the red numerals.
