Illinois cases "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I was just reading about the "Bunn Spec" Illinois cases in that section, but it was not clear to me unless i missed it, (likely) did all Bunns come case from the factory ? or were there any movements sent, cased by the jeweller ?
Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

If you are inquiring about Bunns versus Bunn Specials then none of the Bunn models were factory cased. The Bunn Special "First Model" cases were released in 1924 and many of the Bunn Special movements were in them but not all. You could still buy movements through the jewelers and put them in any case you wanted.

Hi Steve,
Actually I was thinking of the "Bunn" that I just bought. That case could likely be the case it came in then.
Thanks,
Bill
