Watch Lathe Rebuild "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Yesterday at an auction I purchased an old Boley lathe. I do not need anymore lathes but for some reason I could not resist. I now have two that are in need of restoration. I will post pics as this project moves forward. My question to you all, has anyone tried to restore one of these old lathes? I'd like to get some information on how to take down the head stock before I "tear in to it". The bed is now off to the plater and I asked for a high polish chrome finish. If this work out well I am going to rebuild / refinish the rest of this old girl. Thanks for any input.
