Elgin grade 155 hunter 16s 17j "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I picked up a movement for a grade 155 which tend to be on the rarer side. I had an extra B&B 20yr ornate hunter case with no slot cut into the bezel so it was a natural fit. I already had the family of the 161/155 243/246 lace doilies but could not pass up a good working movement for $125. This one has has the gold escape wheel, also have a 161 that has the gold escape wheel but have never seen the alter OF/Hunter 246/246 with anything but polished steel escaped wheels. Nice thing about this one it had the correct dial, correct moon hands and no corrosion or scratches on the movement and so far is keeping correct time.

Has anyone seen the later doilies with gold escape wheels?
