A few months ago I posted a subject about a 6oz coin case I had purchased and was looking for any answers on what company's movement it was made for. Tonight, I finished installing an Elgin Abbot's Patent type movement.
Note the very fine gearing going to the cannon pinion.
This beaty of a movement is marked B.W. Raymond and is also marked Adjusted. The balance has solid gold balance screws all the way around and the banking screws also happen to be gold.
Note the perfect fit of the up and down moving lever Abbot's type lever. The person I purchased the movement from thought the end of the lever was broken off!
I also placed a new, correct hunting case crystal in for a cleaner look than the open face crystal that was in it.
Here is the movement side in the case.
6oz mark inside the case.
Last, but not least, the outside of the case, which has darkened over time. Such beauty in original toning like this! To say the least, I am very happy with how this project turned out in the end!

Good going Jared. What a big lunker you've got there! Put that in a tube sock and you've got a deadly weapon, LOL. So glad you left the natural patina. Best Regards, Ed
