Illinois Bunn with separate time zone hands "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Hello everyone,
I have a 16 size Illinois Bunn with this dial and hand combination. Should the secondary hour hand be red in color or was a gold colored one available as well?.
I don't see any evidence that this hand was ever any color other than the gold it is now.
Thank you, Ray

Ray - here is a thread about dual time zone hands that discusses the use of both gold and red...

Thanks Mary Ann,
Should've checked for prior posts first. That certainly clears it up.

The dual hand was a gold metal that had a clear, red laquer applied over it. In time this could crack off leaving the additional hand plain gold.

Clear, dark red hobby enamel can be used for restoration if so desired.
