A friend at work brought his father's watch in because he couldn't figure out how to set. It was a Waltham Vanguard with wind indicator and of course lever set. He said neither his father or grandfather had anything to do with the railroad. It made me wonder what the market was back in the day for railroad grade/approved watches with non-railroad people.
