My frist question is in the pitfall forum which may not be the right place to post. Shows pictures of the two in question. What is the numbering system on these. The one I am looking at now is serial number 2F24928 the gimbals are 15018, it is marked 1943.

Second question it has no military markings.. Would I be better advised to get one with military marking.
