The Hamilton 992B as seen in TM 9-1575 "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Greeting all,

In TM 9-1575 we see the Hamilton 992B pages 84-103. On page 86 we see the marriage of the Hamilton 992B and it’s intended rubber shock absorber. We hardly see them together. I have had the pair for quite sometime now but never seem to couple them. I recently did and took some photos to share.
These original boxed rubber shock absorbers are getting difficult to find. We see them off an on somewhere on eBay usually with the 4992B priced anywhere from $100-$275 at times.....wow!. I got mine privately for $75 unopened. Who can resist seeing what is inside......I know I couldn’t!

Thanks for the heads up Michael, I might just take a poke at that, seeing that it is missing in my collection! Big Grin

My WWW collection is now complete, time to look for new ventures!

A great post. In an older post there are some more examples, including one made in England.

The Hamilton 992B, shock absorber and orginal copy of TM 9-1575 are now for sale on eBay. If anyone is interested please contact me privatly if you would like to make an offer off ebay as I would accept less. I will also ship worldwide to a IHC 185 member but would need shipping costs. Regards all. Mike

Check the link 3 post above this one in this thread. This gives an idea of what just the shock absorbers are going for. Tough to find item!

UPDATE: December 12th 2011. The watch and shock absorber have been sold. No longer available.
