Were all watches stamped with the military service on the movement and back of case, or were some not stamped either place.

Or can somebody point me to information on these watches. Did they make non-military 4992B movements/watches with no markings on the case and back?

Bob I have never seen a 4992B non military watch. I have seen were someone has taken the Sweep second off change out the case.
Look under search on this sight. You will find something.

Bob; I've seen em both ways...but which is right or wrong I have no idea...some may be "put together" watches like you'll get from ebay I would stay away from there
