Tom, that is a wonderful piece of history. It just goes to show that every aspect in life seems to be and was touched by a nation in war, even the purchase of a simple wristwatch. Regards.

hi Michael; I assume it was for a civilian watch but Helbros supplied watches to the American Military as well as the Red Cross in wartime so it could have contained a military issue wristwatch
