After September 11th, 2001 I decided to see the Country by driving from sea to shining sea in my Dodge Dakota. I took off work the month of June 2002 with a destination of New York, New York. After seeing the devastation in Manhattan a trip to D.C. was in order. The following pictures were taken on the journey.
Thank you for the remembrance,
Rich

Remembering all our nation's veterans and the men and women serving today.
Without your selfless courage and the tremendous sacrifices that you and your families have made in service to our country we would not have the freedoms that so many of us all too often take for granted.
Sincerely,
Lindell

I was in Dansville, Michigan for memorial day and the parade. It was as it should be, a moving experiance. Everyone knew when to stand, and to take off their hats and when to say 'thank you.'

Knowing when to stand, when to take off your hat and when to say 'thank you' are fine points that are all too often forgotten in this increasingly cold and impersonal world in which we live these days.
The simple meaning of "respect" is what needs reinforcement.
Not just at the end of May... but every day!

Very well said, Lindell. And thank you Richard and Mike for posting the pictures.
We all need to remember those who gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. Memorial Day should be every day of the year. And not just a day to go the pool or beach or have a cookout. Those who died gave all they had to this country and need to be honored by everyone, every day!
