Jim Hester,

You are a star.

I asked to inspect the clock before paying for it due to all the comments on the dial. The main comment was the one you posted on how could the dial be so perfect and the clock so beat up.

I asked the seller; is the dial silvered or paper or painted (silked screened.)

The seller cancelled the deal. Saying it was too much of a hassle.

Hello,

i would like to thank Greg, Jim and Perry for having set by these couple of threads some basic rules in how to assess the minimum of genuinity of a watch or a clock just posing ourselves simple but never too obvious questions and analyse the relevant answers to avoid to not get trapped by the stories and sentimental thoughts that too often envelop the objects of our interest!
