Bill MandersMilitary markings
Hi all,
I have just noted on my Rolex military p/w the markings are different from the normal markings on my other British Military watches. The Rolex is just marked with the broad arrow, and followed by a B then the number, rather than the GSTP markings on my Jaeger LeCoultre watch.
Does this type of marking signify a different type of service use ?
Thanks,
Bill

Mike SandellIn the book military timepieces by Wesolowski they have a Rolex with B and numbers it's called a back up time piece or B type the case has no bow the one in the book has a white dial.Photo's help and we like to see other's collections.

Mike SandellSame marking as in the book movement's are a little differnt but both are 15 jewel also said it was a back up timepiece to a chronometer watch. And the watch would be put in a wooden case or used on a vehicle instrument panel.Nice watch.

Bill MandersMike so would that make it one step above a GSTP watch, or on the same scale ?
Here are some of my other military P/W.
