The back as you can see is well worn but not beat up. Just like I want them. It's from 1940.

Your Hamilton collection has some of the most unique and interesting variations from the period. You definitely have a good eye and a keen sense for the early production years, before production ramped up into high gear so to speak. That in my opinion is where the time pieces became ubiquitous, in that they lost their individual distinctiveness, that the now, infrequent specimens that surface possess. With their distinguishing engraving upon the movements, identifying the department or agency that requested the early pieces
