The Model 1942 Waltham 6/0 hack watch movement was widely issued during WWII. More often these were issued with a black dial. The most common is the U.S. ARMY AIR CORPS Model A-11 which was also issued to pilots in the US Navy and the British R.A.F. The Waltham pictured was made for the Royal Canadian Airforce, or RCAF, in 1942. The back is marked with a broad-arrow and “RCAF, Ref. No. 6b/150 W.4509/42.” Best regards, Greg

Greg, With your watch having a white dial, is it a hack set? Tom

Yes, it's a hack watch like the black dial models. The Royal Canadian Air Force used a white dial but the same case and movement as used by the US Army Air Corps. Best regards, Greg
