I have seen this thing on ebay, advertised as an Imperial Russian military PW. No problems with the watch itself, it's a Buhre 20''', but the inside cover is in the picture (the outside is blank). Now, I can't read Russian, but I think that those are NOT military marks. The arched characters should come up to "Pavel Bure", and below I do not know. Is there a friend that could help me a bit ? thanks a lot & have a nice Sunday Regards Mario

Hi, Mario! I think that you're right: those aren't military marckings, but they seems to me the usual commercial crest and markings used by that watchmaker, for the russian market. I'm asking to a russian friend of me the translation.

This is the transalation: Pavel Buhre. Supplier to His Majesty's Court.

excellent, Claudio, pleasure reading you. So the crest could be the imperial russian standard. Claudio, I need a thing from you: would you kindly write a page about German military markings ? I would really like to have it on my site, Orologi da Tasca, and I don't think that there are many experts around. Many thanks for your help. A dopo Claudio Ciao Mario
