Is anyone familiar with these. From the photos(e-bay)...they look remarkable! Has anyone worked on them? Are they as authentic looking as the photos portray?

Greg,

I have one of the Patti's from Merritts and it is quite nice. Not a match for the original as they are made of Linden and stained reddish, have a 30 day movement (most repairer's don't like them, but I think they are OK, I sure repair a bunch of them!), the pendulum is cast brass and does not have the nice glass insert, but how much can you expect for the price they ask?

If you want a good clock that will last 20-25 years with minimal maintenance and don't care about perfection, these are good, But if you really need an original walnut cased clock you'll be disappointed.
