I found this clock while cleaning out an old house. The clock is very heavy and has the words Elgin and Germany listed. I am curious as to what I have. The clock appears to keep time. Could you tell me the approx. age and background on the clock? Also, is there any market for these type clocks (Value???)?

If you lock the wire and flip the clock there should be stemp under who made it or on movement
back side.
as of value $50-$100 being conservative here on price.
