My latest clock is on its way. This is from Millers Jewelers on the Square. Mansfield, Ohio. Does anyone have information on them?

I wonder if it is this store that is still in business today. According to there web site they use to be located in downtown Mansfield, not sure if that was the square but in most towns that is where something like that would be.

Tom,

I was also thinking that. I will call them tomorrow and ask.

It would appear their store was at 34 South Park Street.

It took a little to find it but that is the store, I found this ad from the News Journal 10/02/1975 in Mansfield & it lists the same address but also says on the square.

Wow thanks Tom, that is great!

Does anyone in that area know why it is called on the square?

I have never been there but it appears that when the city was laid out a park was built in the center of the downtown area called Central Park and apparently it is square, it is at Park Ave. & Diamond Street & is also called the Square

Here is a recent photo of where the store was, you will notice it is the same building as in the 1st photo I posted, it is now marked as a Law Office. The park is directly across the street.

I had a very pleasant chat with Michael Miller the owner of Miller's Jewelers this morning. He said his father and uncle gave these clocks away in the 1960's as advertising to local organizations and businesses. Mike informed me that there are several still in use around town today. I told him about our site and how the clock and his store are a discussion topic. He thought that is great and will call his father and let him know.

Thanks for the help Tom.
