Clock maker, awarded a bronze medal in 1878 "Click" to Login or Register
posted
On the back of a French?(I think) mantle clock is a round trademark, the top of which is poorly pressed into the back of the movement. The trademark is circular, has 'Medaille de bronze 1878' around the circumference, with a diamond-shaped mark at the bottom which looks like a sun (circle) in the centre with sunrays radiating from it.

Can anyone help identify the clockmaker, please?

Thank you, Norman!

I've now managed to take a photo of the maker's mark and one of the face. I hope this may help with identification... There's the serial number 21476 also stamped on the movement.
