Doug, Thank you very much. I was beginning to wonder if ANY of the many members that looked at the post would help. I bought the clock on E-Bay. The seller did not pack it well. All glass was broken, the movement came loose, and the dial was hanging from one post. The pendulum crutch was bent, and more. The seller did make good. I have the movement cleaned, oiled , and runing 8+ days. Even though it is not one of the higher end movements, it is very well made. The glass is replaced, using 80 year old windows for the source of the glass, and I have removed several layers of bad old finish, and went down to the excellent original old finish, getting lots of black stuff off and showing the wonderful old wood, with the original staining and finish left on. I have 4 coats of satin Zar on it, and it looks great. I will be looking for another Gustav Becker Vienna clock to restore ( carefully). Art

Gustav Becker Clocks by Tran, on page 12.The early numbered movements, under 2000, are the most interesting of the bunch.
