Schatz 400 day Model 53. Center Wheel "Click" to Login or Register
posted
The pivot on the center wheel is sheared off and I have no experience with the Schatz 400 day clock. I know, I know. On the one side of the plate are the wheel and post for the hands and on the other side of the plate is the center wheel. How does one separate the two so that I can replace the center wheel?
Thank you!
John

Four screws or 4 pins ,come apart real easy . Is the clock run down on power ? If not let down the power. Show us a picture ,that helps a lot

Thank you very much for your help! The power is let down. I will post another picture. The components on each side of the plate (1013) do not easily separate by a gentle pull. I take it there is no twisting involved. If they are just being stubborn is it appropriate to gently use a pry tool to nudge them apart?

You can pry that off a little at a time.or use a puller. I have found a few that felt like they were glued. You can also fix that re pivot with piano wire or small drill bit. or find a tampon and dress the new pivot to fit, very easy . A lathe helps but not needed.
