Help identify maker of Vienna Regulator
Can anyone help shed some light on maker and date of my clock? It is eight day spring driven quarter hour and hour strike with a swing out type movement.

Tim,
Do you have a picture of the movement complete in one photo?
I'm thinking Gustav Becker.

Here is the only other picture I have. The number on the movement is 2399 just for clarification, because it kind of looks like an eight. Sorry the pictures are not that great.

Hi Tim,I'm getting in a little late on this discussion, but Looking at your movement it looks German.I've worked on a bunch of these and many have no trade mark.I looked at 500 pages of European clock trademarks and found nothing even close to the letters on the gong. That said,it is probably the mark for the gong maker. It is not Gustav Becker as there is no Becker trade mark.It does look like a good quality movement.Regards.Norm

Hi Gentlemen,

Thanks to everyone who searched for an answer for the maker of my clock. A special thanks to Norm for his extra time he put in to look for an answer. With no more information than I have, I guess the mystery will go on.

Best Regards
Tim
