Does anyone know about this clock? I am a watch guy so I don't have the books for this one. A family member has a wall clock that needed repair. He said it was hanging in the family barn since he was a small child. He final got the clock and I sent it to a clock maker I know. He does not do research on clocks but he did give me some info. The clock is signed B.F.Wood Winchester NH May 1 1839 in pencil under the dial. Then there is 12/31 written next to it. This is a wood movement. The clock is a 30hr, Time and strike with the strike wound counter clock wise. It also has a reverse glass in the lower door. I don’t have the clock or I would put in a picture. I will try to put one up after the clock is repaired. If you have any info please e-mail me.

Thanks Harry

Harry,
"Spittler & Bailey" has a B F Wood(Bert Francis) listed from Winchester NH but he was born 1870 and died 1952.Made tall and dwarf tall clocks and banjos, etc.
Could the pencil markings be from a repair by BF Wood in 1939?
I'm sure someone else will contribute to this thread.
