Bruce ByrdBanjo Clock Help
I recently purchased a Sessions Banjo clock. It is about 26 inches tall. The tag is missing from the back so I dont have a model. It is missing the finial and I am trying to locate another one for it. I am wondering if anyone could find a picture for me and post it so I know what the finial looks like. The pendulm box has a sailing ship ( I think that is standard on all banjos

) This model also has a picture of a lighthouse in the center portion. The decorative scrolling on the side is made of wood and not brass. Any help would be appreciated as this clock is going to my mother as a gift... Thanks in advance

Pattye JonesBruce:
Take a look at this Sessions banjo belonging to my brother. There is also a photo in Tran's Sessions book but my scanner is on the mend.
Hope this helps a bit.

Tom SeymourBruce,
Pattye posted a great picture of the "Revere". Most of the clocks in Tran's book have the brass side rails and most of those have eagles on top.
There are also a couple of other models with wooden side rails. Note slight differences in the shape of the rails and of the bottom portion of the clock. One has a finial topper and the other an eagle.

Bruce ByrdPattye and Tom, Thanks for the information. Pattye, that is the exact clock I bought. In looking at the top of the clock, it appears there was some type of wooden dowel. Most of the eagle toppers are screwed in. That picture helps alot... Thanks again
