Here are 2 clocks i recently bought off Ebay.I think the Lux was ok for the price under 20 dollars and the 400 day clock was a buy it now of 25 dollars. I think they are both neat clocks.I like the challenge of working on the 400 day clocks, but mostly like the older ones from the 40,s.
Greg, the movement has been cleaned and rebushed, but other than that, everything appears to be original. The case finish looks almost too good to be true and I'm not sure I have a sharp enough eye to spot a perfect refinish, usually there are tell, tell signs of refinishing. Other than it being almost too good, I'm just not 100% sure.
Kevin, do you collect Lux's? Also, what is the size of the Lux?
I have not recived the Lux clock yet. Will let you know more about it when it comes.I don,t usually collect Lux clocks but i know some are worth a fair bit.I just happened to see this one and really liked it. The anniversary clock does have a glass dome. I have not received it either.Should be soon.
Derek your Chauncey ogee is a awesome clock in great shape too, must have sold for a hefty price. Derek the Lux measures about 9 inches across it. The dial is plastic and the case is metal, have not seen the movement yet but runs well.
