Greg ReevesI suppose that if the movement were a wreck and didn't want to put the money into replacing or repairing it, it might be a good thing. At least the case wasn't thrown away. Just speculation? I have a bunch of cases(mostly Tambor) that I would like to do something with besides getting nasty in storage. In fact I did throw away some last year.

Sheila GilbertI think it's a little of both.
It's a fantastic case that has no "guts" and someone that "does miniatures" found a way to make something fun out of it!
Greg,
I think you need to place small shelving inside them, and use them to display your pocket watches, and if you get the urge to toss any clock cases again, I will pay for the shipping for you to send them here to me. lolol
I actually thought it was a fun idea, but would have been better if they had used a new or homemade case.
Something the show off the "Trade"

Sheila GilbertJohn,
Yep, that's what shocked me too!
$554.50 is insane.
Here's a little something I picked up while looking at miniatures.
