Tom Seymour1848 Vienna tabletop clock
This clock showed up in our local repair shop. I missed seeing it out of the case, but did get a couple of pictures of it before it went back home.
It is made by Karl Antone Greil in Vienna in 1848.
This clock as full Grande Sonnerie striking the quarter and preceeding hour at each quarter on differing tones.
The escapement is of the horizontal type, an early form of the common cylinder escapement developed int he late 1600s.
