winterhalder and hofmeier "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Have been looking at a Gallery (dial) clock that looks just like your ordinary English dial clock but has a winterhalder and hofmeier movement. Found out that W&H made lots of clocks for the English market and were cheaper than the English fusee movements. Does anyone know who else made common clocks to compete with the English makers?
Since W&H were supposed to be one of the finest manufacturers of the Victorian era, seems like this should be an interesting clock. Except it will lack the distinctive tink tink of the fusee clocks. Anyone have a comment ?? Mike
