Picatures and text furnished by William Mittlestadt!! This is a very scarce clock. The mov't is Waterbury with ladder chains and rope twist weights. This is the same mov't that is in a Waterbury Augusta. Waterbury did not make the hall bench but sold mov'ts to a company in New York that made this piece of furniture. This company made three different styles of hall benches, this is the middle grade model. They are very collectable and I purchased this one off from Ebay about 3 years ago in Monterey California. I had it shipped to Wisconsin for $375.00 The finish is original and the clock has very nice carvings. Most people who see it are amazed and never knew such an item was ever made. ![]()

....very interesting!!!a marvelous piece at a remarkably modest price!...are you thinking of replating/gilding the hands to make them stand out?...Jim C
|
Jim the price listed was just the shipping cost, the clock was conciderly more. William Mittelstadt
