Last week I happened to be watching the U.K. Antiques Roadshow and I saw this very unique clock. The antiques' expert who was reviewing the clock said it was extremely rare and only the second one he'd come across in over 35 years.

I took the following series of pictures right off my TV screen since I thought a lot of you would like to see them.

As you'll see in the first picture the table top styled clock sits with it's concave shaped dial facing upwards. The dial contains water, and the single metallic, floating time marker is shaped like a turtle. The clock apparently has a rotating magnet underneath the dial which is powered by an antique French clock movement. The turtle appears to obtain it's motion from this sub dial magnet. The turtle moves around the circumference of the dial and completes one full revolution every twelve hours. I would guess the concept is based on either a sundial principle or an ancient Chinese water clock. It certainly is an extremely interesting timepiece.
