I recently picked up a Seth Thomas #2 regulator. Its one of those way to long stories. In the 60's a small town in Arkansas's watchmaker died. The shoe store man married the watchmakers widow. Now the shoe store, once you pass the years of unsold shoes,is a clock and pocketwatch repair shop. For the last 20 or more years in the darkest, dirtiest, corner behind piles of everything else, has hung a Seth Thomas #2 regulator, which up till now has not been for sale. The clock is in great condition with a couple of exceptions. Anyway the dial is in superb condition, almost no wear, again with the exception of dirt, years of it. It is painted on zinc. What procedure would be recommended to clean it?? I appreciate any help. Jack Jack Goldstein NAWCC 0152932 IHC 185 #274 http://www.ball-rr-pocketwatches.com | ||
