I found nothing in Nutting. In Britten's, there was a reference to

Royle, Jos, Chorley, 1780

These are the only references I have (Bulletin search also showed nothing.) as English clocks are not my thing. Would love to see a picture of it.

Anyone else have any info on this maker?
