I have a 1964 Accutron Rail Road Approved wrist watch. The battery seems to discharge very quickly (less than 6 months). I don't wear it very often. Its been clean and serviced, and the watch repairman says he thinks it may have a short. With a fresh battery it works well and keeps very accurate time. Does anybody have any ideas.

Steve, Get him to check the current drawn if it is a 218 should draw about 8-10 micro-amps. This is a basic part of the servicing procedure ![]() ![]()
