Would anyone have any information with regards to a small ladies watch I have. This watch works but doesn't tick (As you can guess I know nothing of this type of thing) The crystal is scratched somewhat so would this be worth repairing? Many thanks Tim

Hello Tim, Welcome to the 185 SPECIAL, nice to have you on board.... Do you have any photos of the watch in question, that certainly would be helpful.... Regards, Jerry

Hey Tim, judging from the info in the Bible,'Complete Price Guide To Watches' by Shugart et al, pages starting at 868 forward, I would say that your watch is definitely a keeper and worth while.... We have a watchmaker, here in IHC185, that we all depend on and probably would be worth while for you to contact him.... Chris Abell.... his website is: http://www.Abellwatchmakers.com He can help you.... Regards, Jerry

Hi Tim A very nice ladies wristwatch and definitly a keeper. Is a vintage IWC watch with the private label "Beyer". 'Beyer-Chronometrie-AG' as they are named now is a swiss jeweler, watch & clockmaker firm and trade store in Zürich. They are in business since 1760 in 7th generation. In addition to their store is a private museum with 500+ watches an clocks. I found a link in english that gives you more information about them. If you tipe: www.beyer-chronometrie.ch/en/about-us directly to your browser you will go there (The link is informative but also commercial so i just give the plain text without linking). If the watch is opened i would like to see a picture of the movement and if you can post the movements serial number too i hope to get more information. Regards Gerald
