William J. Hansen, Ph.D.This was an interesting auction.  The Hamilton Pacermatic is a very rare example of a Non-Electric Pacer.  While production records are not clear, it appears that very few were made.  Many fakes exist.  This one is reported to have a redial, but is otherwise authentic and original.  Rene Rondeau sold a Pacermatic from his own collection, with an original dial last month on ebay.  I don't recall exactly, but I seem to remember that it achieved in the neighborhood of $4500.  Like the Solid Gold Pacer, the Pacermatic is prized among the Hamilton Electric Wristwatch Collectors.
