Bruce StewartNeed help identifying D & S Co. mark on old Rolex movement
This is a 10.5 ligne Rebberg Rolex movement from the teens or early 20's. It has an unusual company logo on the front of the movement. Any of you wrist watch experts have any idea of what company this represents? Thanks!

Peter KaszubskiIt might have been the importer mark or the jewler
that was selling those watches but that is my one cent.

Bruce StewartPeter, I'm pretty sure it was a jeweler and was hoping it may have been a prominent establishment in either England, Australia, Canada, or India. From my studies, it appears that they were the main markets during the early years of Rolex production.

William ThomasThis is a monogram DG&S for Dietrich Gruen and Sons as often seen on watch movements marked Watch Specialties Co. Gruen and Rolex were both using Aegler movements at this time. (Rolex eventually took ownership of the Aegler factory.) I'm thinking one of the bridges may have been switched which is easily done as they are interchangeable.
