I've taken a quick look at both your wristwatches, and unless I'm dead wrong I believe they fall into the "Costume Jewelry" category. Personally I've never heard of either of these brands. Maybe some other member can shed some light on them.

just 2 weeks ago, nothing showed up when i did a google search on paul portinoux.
i should have checked again before i posted this.
i just googled again,
i typed: "paul portinoux" swiss watch in the search field, and there were 2 pages of hits, where once there were none.
check that out, if you like.
there are pics of several PP watches.
i think i'll still take them both in to get checked out.
i also have 3 hamilton, 2 bulova, i harvester, and one old timex electric.... if you'll allow me to further pick your brain.
i'll have to take some pics first, though.
