Interesting lady's watch
This is just a neat little occurance that happened to me, and I just had to share it with the chapter. Back in April of 2006, I sold an interesting lady's watch on eBay with a private label on the dial, Bonwit Teller. It was an extreme example of the retro-modern design movement prevalent at the time. It was kind of in rough shape, but it brought $77 anyway due to its unique styling:

Anyway, I was browsing yesterday through a 1953 issue of a Swiss horological journal, and come across an ad showing the very same watch, made by Juvenia:

Talk about your needle in a haystack! Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that ladies' watches DO sell if they are unusual in some way.

The curvature of the lugs is not quite identical between the two watches. This is almost like a Ladies version of the rare Hamilton Chatham.
