I recently purchased a Bulova Watertight and was surprised to find its case to be solid silver instead of the typical chrome plating. Is this unusual and does anybody know the history of this particular model of Bulova?

That silver case sounds interesting for a Bulova.
What year is it? Is WATERTITE printed on the dial below the Bulova signature? I would love to see some pics of the watch. Thanks
